Book Reviews

This year, we are encouraging students to submit book reviews to our catalog, Destiny Quest. For each three MCBA books reviewed, students will earn a participation point. Be sure you have finished reading the book before you write a review. What makes a good review? Did you like the book? Why? What was interesting about it? What type of readers would like the book? Be sure to check your spelling and grammar!
Once you submit a review, it will be sent to Ms. Bernard for approval. Once approved, it will be available for all to see on the catalog.

Congratulations to Evelyn F. who submitted over 20 reviews this week for books she has read. They will help other readers make good choices.

Thanks to Eric and Luke for sharing this fun activity:

A thoughtful poem makes a great book project. The Leanin' Dog was one of my favorites on the list--really good historical fiction that was sad, hopeful and took me back to another time. Pick up a copy!
See Ms. B if you need help submitting your poem.

The Kick-off

Today we kicked off this year's MCBA program with an assembly for Ms. Lobenstine's, Ms. Klein's and Mr. Goldman's classes. The energy was high, and we are excited by the great list of books and the new elements we have added to the program. Let the mad reading begin!
